Open Thread for anyone in the Gryffindor Dorms

There is a new girl sitting in the Gryffindor Common room. Except, she seems exceptionally familiar-- short and floppy black hair, wide, perpetually confused blue eyes, and a frustrated expression. She sits in a manner that would better become a boy-- sprawled, legs spread and feet planted firmly on the ground. Any time someone walks past, she looks up, a hopeful, puppyish expression crossing her face.

She's obviously worried about something-- and definately perks up anytime someone turns her way...

((OOC: Kon was turned into a girl by way of Jason Todd and a bit of red kryptonite. He would be very glad for any bit of company right now. Especially if said bit of company knows anything about female anatomy.))

Adam sat down next to her at a comfortable distance, not too close and not too far. If someone needed to talk, his walk could wait.

"It's nice to meet you. Kon Conner." He smiled. "So why are you a girl?"

The mostly bewildered expression changed immediately to fury and Kon crossed her arms, glowering at Adam. "JASON. The goddamn little bastard hit me with red kryptonite,a nd it turned me into a GIRL! AFTER he made me crossdress on April Fool's Day, probably killed someone while he was in my body, and made out with the guy I li-- I mean, Tim." She grimaced at the blonde sitting next to her. "Sorry, just a little..."

Making soothing noises, Adam put a hand on her shoulder and condensed his aura to hover around just the both of them, warm and comforting. "It's okay. It'll all work out in the end." Not wanting to upset her further, he decided not to tell her that Jason had kissed Crowley!Ryuuji while in his body as well.

"So now you're confused 'cause you don't know how to be a girl and you're still real mad at Jason, huh? Is there anythin' I can help with?"

Kon relaxed a little, feeling strangely comfortable next to Adam, and settled down. "Do you know anyone who knows about girly stuff? Cause... there are all sorts of weird things going on, and I have no idea what to do." Kon sighed, making a little whimpery sound that she never would have made as a boy. "It's embarassing."

She leaned in a little closer, obviously trying to pull herself together. "If you could get rid of all of Jason's kryptonite, that would be a plus, but the sneaky bastard probably hid it all over the castle."

Adam reached over to give her a one-armed hug, sensing that the physical reassurance was helping. He thought over all the people he knew at Hogwarts.

"Well, if you wanna talk to an actual girl, I'd recommend either Kaylee or Susan. They're both real understandin' about stuff, though Kaylee might giggle a bit at you first. But I know lots about girl stuff, too. I have an older sister, and two of my best friends are girls and you learn a lot. Maybe I can answer your questions." He was pretty sure he could. Hitting omnipotence at the age of eleven had been something of a shock, and those weren't really the kinds of things he'd wanted to know about girls at the time, but he managed.

Adam also discretely didn't mention that he could get rid of all the kryptonite, but wouldn't. He let Kon assume what she wanted to about that.

"Yeah well, this stuff's kinda embarassing to talk to a guy about. I think I realize why girls clam up so easily." She tugged on shirt-- it was a little too tight around her breats, and she sighed. "How about knowing where I could go to find some clothes the might actually fit? My jeans are too tight and my shirt..." Well, Adam could see how well her shirt fit." At least he wasn't ogling. Kon was honest enough to acknowledge SHE would be ogling in the same circumstances.

"Oh, I thought it'd be easier to talk to a guy. I'd be tons more embarrassed to talk to a girl if I needed a bra or had to learn how to use a napkin or somethin'," said Adam, radiating confidence. "I can help with the clothes, though. We're at a magic school after all, right?"

Adam pulled out his wand and pointed it at Kon, though the magic he used didn't flow through it. Instead he used his nature to alter reality the way he wanted it to be and loving him desperately, reality complied. Suddenly, Kon's clothes fit her much better and she was wearing the proper supportive garments. "Is that a little better?"

Kon went crimson at the mention of the girly items. "I'm just hoping I don't stay this way long enough to have to learn how to use--" Kon abruptly cleared her throat and shook her head.

The superhero looked down at her clothes, and smoothed them down. "Oh. Right. Forgot we could do that here. Thanks, man. That's really... great." Her clothes fit! Bras felt WEIRD. Whoa.

Adam laughed. "Somehow I don't think you're gonna hafta worry about it. I know you'll be fine no matter what happens." And the way he said it, so sincerely, it was impossible to doubt.

"Is there anythin' else I can do for you? I was gonna go for a walk outside. You can come along if you like."

Kon grinned and looked away. Adam's earnest laughter was making her a little embarassed. "I'm sure I will." Adam was probably right, after all. Red K probably wouldn't be permenent. And even if it was, she'd deal with it.

"Nothing right now. I think I'm going to go and find Tim. Maybe I can convince him that Jason needs to get the crap beaten out of him NOW. But if you want to hang out sometime..." Kon left the offer hanging.

Pulling his arm away and standing, Adam smiled gently and let his aura extend out to its usual limits again.

"Yeah, you go find Tim. I'm sure you'll feel a lot better when you see him. And I'd like that very much. See you around, then!"

With a little wave, he headed out the portrait and down to the main hall to continue his walk.
