Nemo has a most peculiar weekend.

((OOC: This is an open RP to all Nemo's friends, acquaintances, teachers, and anyone else passing by the sorting room. (Though, most won't recognize the little guy on first sight, I'd imagine.) Thanks to Psyche-mun for the chibi!post that inspired this storyline!))
When Nemo awoke from unsettling dreams, he found himself changed in a most peculiar way. The first thing he noticed was that all his toys - his little plastic diver guy, the snow globe from CMOT Dibbler, the shiny beads from his brand-new friend Snooch - seemed strangely very very small. Then he noticed that their edges seemed sort of wobbly fuzzy, as things outside his tank usually did. Then he noticed his tank - and the fact that he was outside of it!
"Aaah! Help!" he shouted, noticing that his voice seemed very loud. He started waving his fins, trying to jump up back inside the tank ... but wait. Those weren't fins at the side of his shoulders - Wha? He had shoulders? - they were hands. And now that he thought about it, he wasn't struggling to breathe, even in the air - he had a nose!
He looked down at himself, orange hair flopping in his eyes, and saw brown skin like the "ab-or-ijja-ne" people his dad had told him about. He wore an orange jacket with white stripes and a pair of orange pants that comfortably seemed to mimic scales. Nemo spread his hands out in front of him and wiggled the fingers - he had fingers! On his left hand, they were strong and flexible, moving independently. On his right hand, they were clumsy, moving all together or not at all.
'Hm,' thought Nemo, I guess I must be still me if I got my lucky fin - er, my lucky hand, I guess ... but what is going on?'
He looked up and saw a note folded over the edge of the tank.
"Hey, kid," it read, "I'm sorry, but I just need a weekend off. You can cart yourself around for a bit now, huh? Have fun! -- Domino."
Nemo blinked.
'I didn't know house elves could do that!', he thought. 'And now I'm here all alone and I'm a people, but I'm not supposed to be a people, I'm supposed to be a clownfish!'
With that, Nemo began to sob.
((OOC: Much homage to Franz Kafka for the way I began Nemo's realization.))

Date: 2006-04-08 07:06 pm (UTC)He walks awkwardly to the child, clearing his throat. He was going to be a father one day, and it was necessary to get some practice. He already had a daughter, but what if he had a son? Besides... Wolfram couldn't leave a child crying.
He bends on a knee to get to Nemo's level. "Hello, little boy," he starts. He considers what he's about to say, what he could do to get the kid to like him. "Would you like me to read you a story?"

Date: 2006-04-08 07:36 pm (UTC)*He takes a book from his pack, a heavy book which appears to be self-published. Wolfram reads the title* The Brave and Intelligent Lady Anissina: Her Adventures in Time and Space in Regards to Warfare, Inventions, and the Emancipation of Women. Third Edition. *He frowns. The only other book in his pack was written by Gunter, and he was not entirely sure that it was appropriate for little Nemo*

Date: 2006-04-09 12:19 am (UTC)"Of course she does, you're a very good little boy." He sets Nemo down to grab a stool and saddle, and then begins to attach the latter to his horse. "Do you see how I'm locking it tight, Nemo? So that it's secure but not so tight that it hurts her?"
He then climbs on and makes sure that she walks next to the stool. "Now, climb the stool and reach up. I'll lift you the rest of the way."
