((Charlie's probably just going to head into one of the other general Ravenclaw threads, but if anyone wants to bump into him here, feel free. ^_^))
Charlie had never felt so comfortable in his life.
That's how it seemed, anyway; he had only a dim awareness of his surroundings. He knew that he was warm, and soft, and relaxed. Something was missing: some horrible gnawing thing at the pit of his stomach. An evil, ravenous monster, devouring his life and his love and his time and his body.
It didn't matter. It wasn't real; it had never been real: just a phantom of a nightmare. He was back in Manchester with his brother and the lads. Driveshaft were getting some heat from the local clubs. He was a valued and regular member of St Alphonse's church. He was happy, and all was well.
It wasn't until he shifted onto his stomach, still half asleep, that he noticed something a little... odd.
He opened his eyes, and noticed a brim of brown hair over his face. Weird, he thought to himself - a reaction that was completely overshadowed by the discovery of some unusual growths on his chest.
"Gah!" he yelled, jumping up. "I have breasts on my chest!" In his surprise he became tangled in the bedclothes and sprawled untidily onto the floor. He struggled wildly for a few moments before forcing himself to stop and breathe.
Breathe... He did. It felt wonderful. No aches, no twinges, no nagging pull of addiction. He felt good enough to forgive the bright pink pyjamas his new body was wearing. Cautiously he stood up, pulling the sheet around his shoulders, determined to find his way to the Common Room (blue and silver - that must mean Ravenclaw, right?) and find out what was going on.
