Lord Voldemort,

I take sole responsibility for the events that occurred a few nights ago. This includes the actions of any Ravenclaws or other students present, with the exception of the Robot Devil. Any injury to Fenrir is entirely my fault, due to my negligent actions.

Grant sends the owl and gathers up the dozen or so wadded up parchment balls around his desk. He incinerates the rough drafts, making sure that no one will ever see the first versions of that letter.

At the moment, I intend to teach. I feel that it will be better for me both of us if our paths never cross again.
