Hands charred, nasty gash on the chest, various wounds from fire and shrapnel littering his face and arms... Kurama certainly did not look like the epitome of health. He didn't feel like it either, but managed to not limp in view of anyone as he made his way to the rooms he and Kusuriyuri shared.

Even though he felt like he'd taken a stroll through the London Blitz, it wasn't his health he was concerned about. He could smell Kusuriyuri's blood thicker here, but he could also hear the cats, and Kusuriyuri speaking to them softly. With that small relief, he pushed the door open with his shoulder, sliding in and leaning against the door as it closed again with a little sigh.

"Koi," he said softly, keeping the rage at his old foe at bay until he could get the scope of the situation, "please tell me Karasu didn't actually blow your leg off."

Never let it be said that Ofdensen doesn't do his job.

If any Americans plan on setting off fireworks today, please do so on the roof. You are responsible for any injuries or property damage you may cause.

One moment Road was frolicing in the Kamelot Manor garden, and then she was somewhere completely different. The apparent little girl looked around with a puzzled frown - she had not gone through one of her doors, the ones that acted as portals to wherever she desired, and she had not been anywhere near Noah's Ark, so how...?

"Papa?" she called. "Tyki? Anyone?"

Her frown deepened when there was no reply. She reached out with her mind, attempting to summon one of her doors, but the connection was not there. She was trapped.

She examined her surroundings more closely, and noticed for the first time the desk with the parchment, quill and inkwell atop it. She walked over to take a look. A questionnaire, huh? Normally she wasn't one for things like homework - who would be when they could make their family do it for them? - but she didn't exactly have anything else to do. She reached for the quill, but it sprung up before she laid a finger on it, dipped itself into the inkwell, and hovered over the parchment in readiness for her dictation.

"Handy," she commented, and the quill transcribed the word onto the parchment.

I'm taken away from home by some unknown power, and I still have to do homework? )
