Spending the morning with Amaranth made Silmeria feel better. The nymph's happiness was infectious, and did much to distract her from the events of the previous night. By the time she left her, forgiveness was granted, powers were returned, and emotions were back under control.

All that was missing was the rest of her clothes.

So, with freshly painted nails, Silmeria walked back to the Great Hall where she left her armor behind, tied inside a polyjuice-stained tablecloth. Unfortunately, the house elves had already cleaned up after the Halloween party, and the bundle was no where to be found.

Silmeria checked under tables and benches, behind the giant hourglasses signifying house points, and around the unlit fireplace, but still got nowhere. After inquiring with several students about where it might have gone, she learned that it was most likely out with the trash. The amount of waste the entire castle could produce was a disheartening thought to her.

But no matter. This is why the gods invented magic.

Silmeria headed for Wednesday's office, request at the ready.

Monday afternoon after the tumultuous events of the Halloween party seemed like an ideal time to hold office hours.

Miles had cleaned up his office with the assistance of Martin, his newly acquired house elf, so that it was in a state to receive company. A sign on the office door proclaimed office hours to be in session, and Miles sat behind his desk, a game of Battleship laid out in front of him. Martin had also provided non-magically enhanced cookies for Miles' guests. Miles had ensured their non-magical qualities by eating several himself, and he was prepared to make the ultimate sacrifice and share any cookies with his guests.

Now, leg twitching, Miles stared at the door, hoping someone would come in and express some desire to learn something about astronomy. Or failing that, about cookies. Or Battleship. Really, he wasn't picky. He just wanted a chance to meet some of his potential students.
