Flannel Day had come around again, and today Fraser had decided that perhaps he should do something nice for Ray, who had been more than a little frazzled lately. Granted, Fraser had been more than a little frazzled himself -- he still wasn't exactly used to living with someone else, and living with someone else going through withdrawal was a stress unto itself -- but he figured that a spoiled Ray would be a happier Ray, and a happier Ray would be less likely to set his teeth on edge. Really, it was best for everyone involved.
He'd slipped out early, way before Ray usually woke up, and taken Diefenbaker on a morning run down to Hogsmeade. Unfortunately, he'd kind of forgotten that much like Ray most shops didn't keep to the Benton Fraser clock. Once they actually opened, though, he picked up some goodies -- feeling generous, he even bought Dief a donut -- and took his time coming back. He wasn't expecting Ray to be up for ages yet; there was no hurry.
