A bright flash glowed throughout the Great Hall, and receded into a glowing sphere. After a few seconds, the balst dissipated, and the bumps settled back into their places on the creature's casing. The thing spun it's eye-stalk around in confusion. It moved forward a little, trying to make sense of it's surroundings. "WHERE AM I?" came the voice.

A petite woman with flaming red hair enters into an apparently abandoned ancient castle. She looks casually around, unimpressed and tired after a long day's travel. An odd noise startles her, and she frowns, caressing the cross pendant she wears around her neck. A mouse scurries across the cold stone floor in front of her, and she giggles, embarassed. For a fleeting moment she had flashed back to her partner's stories of mythical creatures and magicians, which she had promised him she would investigate seriously. With an arched eyebrow, she playfully calls out :

"Hello! Any aliens, mutants, or magical spirits conspiring to deceive, inveigle or obfuscate?"

Human emotions could be like scents; corrusive and unpleasant. Illyria hunted down one shaded with fumes and colors. It was not quite human. But she had felt the difference before.

He leaked unhappiness like one beheaded. It gushed like blood pooling everywhere and coloring everything. Illyria hunted the doctor down, single minded even more than usual.

"You rent the world with your pain." She said, tilting her head and staring him down when she'd found him. "Do you need violence ?"
