OOC explanation! )

Over last time's noticeboard, there is now a new noticeboard up outside the Great Hall and one by one, images are appearing pinned to the corkboard, with students tacking up thoughts on the images on index cards. Nobody can ever catch anyone posting an image, only the comments, and there is no way to use magic or science to know who posted what.

"I warn you, I have grown quite weary of this game."

Shiva's opponent hissed defiantly in her direction. If it had eyes, they would probably be narrowed. This was quite a showdown. But Shiva would prevail. She always did.

"I know your weakness. You cannot hope to defeat me, and your continued disrespect only enrages me further."

A slight, almost imperceptible shiver, now. Shiva knew her reputation proceeded her, but to this level? She casually checked her surrounding for observers and, satisfied she wasn't being watched, removed a shoe. She advanced on the table where her opponent had taken a defensive position, raising the shoe above her head.

The teapot finally seemed to realise who it was up against, and let out a wimper of steam before sidling back toward Shiva. If fine bone china could look penitent, then this old pot was very, very sorry.

"Better," said Shiva, putting her shoe back on. "Now pour me two cups, and I will reconsider your fate."

He'd really put it off long enough. Of course he hadn't put it off on purpose, it was just that there'd been so much to do after Hogsmeade; finding and preparing a costume for FillerBunny Day, reading up on Potions, dealing with Potions Class, and Charms, and Kaiba and his robot, and making up with Ryuuji afterwards....

Terry's mind skittered away from that and he exhaled then inhaled again, slowing his breathing down. The point was something had been bought. And he was the one who was going to have to present it. Nestled in a plain brown box wrapped with plain brown paper was a leash, collar and four thick cuffs, each as bright as arterial blood and as soft as velvet and suede. Steel buckles done in a theme a wandering vines and on the collar - of a garden gate, waited to wink and shimmer in bright light.

Terry held two of the blood lollipops he'd originally bought for Alucard, but had had dipped in chocolate for Joachim, in his other hand as he stood outside the entrance to the Hufflepuff common room hoping someone would hear him knocking and let him in.

I made three squib weapons today and am willing to make more tomorrow. Leave me a note here if you'd like me to make you a custom one with an idea as to what kind of image and text you'd like to have. I need to know because I'm not familiar with all your fandoms and characters and what they might have that is special.

At one that afternoon, Logan was waiting as agreed by the south side of the lake. It had turned out to be a nice day - slightly chilly by Logan's standards, which mainly meant that the t-shirt he wore had long sleeves - with a few small clouds skating above in a light breeze, and the sun high and bright in the sky. Logan stood at the edge of the water, scuffing his foot in the mud, and remembering making paper boats and sailing them in the pool of his parents' house in LA with one of his nannies. A month or so later, he'd shown Duncan how to make the boats, but forgotten to fish them out once they grew waterlogged and sank. They'd clogged the pool, which meant that that nanny got fired and Logan earned himself yet another trip to his father's closet to pick out a belt to be used on him. Still, on the whole, it was a pleasant memory.

Behind him, a blanket and picnic basket waited, provided by the house elves. In addition to the cold chicken, sandwiches, salt-and-vinegar crisps, and cake, there were several glass bottles of Coke Logan had managed to arrange, and a fifth of rum to spike them with. He wasn't sure whether River was much of a drinker, though she'd had some firewhiskey at the Three Broomsticks, but if there was even a chance they were going to talk about his life in Neptune he'd probably need a drink. Or eight. A pack of sparklers was wedged in at one side; he'd found them in the Hogsmeade joke shop's fireworks section, and had been unable to resist.

((They're out in public, so people can wander by as they wish, but it probably wouldn't be wise to interrupt at any moments o' angst.))

Edit: Major spoilers for "Veronica Mars" season one. Like, the central mystery. Watch out.
