Then again, on second though, it might not be such a good idea for the Master to start thinking of them as possible equal allies rather than just mindless servants, who knows what he might get up to. Would he have learned enough humility for that?
The Doctor gave him a weighing, concerned look from the corner of his eye, but he really couldn't tell for sure, not with this regeneration. How annoying, he thought as he took a long but civilized sip from the glass that had discreetly appeared at the table.
