Having gotten nowhere with his visions, Turlough had decided to consult a library. He supposed it would be related to Divination, but he didn't want to bother Kusuriyuri yet, and he definitely didn't want to bother the Doctor if it turned out to be the-well, his-future.

Alas, he would never make it to the library, for there was someone with...plans for him.

"Obviously manners isn't on that list," he observed dryly. He'd like a bit of abject begging, but really, not even a 'please'?

"Stop the spinning, please," Turlough said as he started to retch.

Still not as grovelly as he'd like, but he stilled the chair with a flick of his wand, leaving it hovering in midair.

"Well, I suppose that's a baby step."

Turlough used the stilled movement to breathe and stop the need to feel sick. "There are things I like," he said once he felt normal again. "Nothing you'd be interested in, though."

"Let me guess. Looking in the mirror and practicing your scowl."

"Drawing, if you must know, painting. The occasional drink with a friend. Not that you would know that."

"Who?" He'd never met Lezard. "You'll find that megalomaniacs don't usually spend time together."

"...is he the one who warned me about you?" His calm, genial manner gave way to a furious scowl, and he grabbed a fistful of Turlough's hair, yanking it back. "Did you teach Harkness that shapeshifting trick?"

"Aaaa, aaah!" Turlough cried. "No! I don't know what you're talkign about!"

"Oh? Because someone warned me that you... what was the wording... lust after your betters. And that you didn't scruple at shapeshifting to get what you wanted. Not exactly an honorable act, you know."

"It was one bloody time! And I certainly never suggested it to anyone, much less Harkness. I didn't even know we were both acquaintances of the Doctor until Hat Shore!"

"Awwww. You know what they call it in most civilizations when you trick someone about your identity in order to have sex with them? It says interesting things about the Doctor's taste in men that he's traveled with at least two who don't think it's beneath them."

Turlough snorted. "Explain Rory then." He struggled to get the Master to let go. "And like you haven't done worse."

"I don't think anyone alive could explain Rory," he said thoughtfully. "And I don't wander around the universe playing messiah. Of course, I don't need a disguise to get laid."

"That idiot was an exception. I've gotten laid plenty of times without a so-called disguise. I could seduce you if I wanted."

"...you what?" That was enough to get him to release his hold on Turlough's hair as he burst out laughing. "Well, you certainly think well of yourself."
