((This one's open to pretty much anyone, but Yukimura and Lee are particularly invited to come around before or after Bobby and the boys show up.))

---

Castiel had finally gotten around to investigating the bar in Ravenclaw tower, and found the place to his liking. He could sit quietly and watch people come and go if he wanted to, socialize if he liked (which he hadn't yet ventured to do, but he was working up to it,) and he could drink as much as he wanted of whatever he liked.

He'd been trying not to abuse the privilege. Getting roaring drunk, he'd been assured, did little to improve his disposition. Though Dean had made some puzzling allusions to marijuana that frankly stumped him, as he hadn't tried the stuff. Yet.

This afternoon, though, he was here for a purpose, waiting for Bobby to arrive so that they could set in motion their plan to exact retribution upon the Winchester boys for the events their prank war had set in motion the night of the Yule party.

Practical jokes were still unfamiliar territory to the angel. But he was cautiously optimistic that the plan was both appropriate and effective; Bobby had devised the spells, and he had thought of the delivery system.

Whether it would be funny, on the other hand...well, that he really wasn't qualified to judge. He was fairly sure, though, that Dean and Sam would not be laughing.

The Doctor gave a small shrug. It was over. There was nothing he could do about the past, and he was starting to learn that he had to move forward.

"There are three of us, actually. Myself, the other me and one who calls himself the Master. He's," a small sigh. "He's a bit mad."

"Still, it's better than no one at all."

He smiled, "Humans are a fascinating lot. It's amazing the things they'll accomplish. The Fourth Great and Bountiful Human Empire - marvelous. Does fantastic things for the whole universe. The potential is just wonderful to watch. At one point, there won't be a single corner of the universe that isn't somehow touched by a human for the better."

"And the food's fantastic too."

"Works of art. I like that."

The Doctor leaned in, as if he was sharing some great secret, "You should really try chips. They're wonderful. Your American friends might call them fries."

The Doctor winked and waved at a house elf, muttering a request. It returned a few moments later with a steaming basket of fresh chips. He rubbed his hands together with an enthusiastic smile. "Thick, crunchy, salty and absolutely terrible for you. All the best things about Earth food."

The Doctor snagged one for himself. "Good man! Er.. angel. See? Human minds at work. First they think to dig up the starchy little root, then some mad genius decides to peel and fry it."

He sat back, a contented smile on his face. "Out of all the planets I've visited, I absolutely love this one."

"Love it. I was even at at Woodstock. Had a marvelous time, foiled two attempts to brainwash humanity through music and got to meet Janis Joplin."

"Did one of your human friends introduce you to it?"

The Doctor echoed his fond smile and raised his glass in a toast. "To humans. I've been traveling for hundreds of years, but it wasn't until I started traveling with them that I was really able to see the universe. They can look at everything with such wonder and introduce us to glorious things we would have overlooked without a second thought."

"I'd be lost without them."
