They'd raced through the dungeon, Kuronue taking the West end, Kurama the East, and by the time they met up again, every water pipe in the place was glowing a different color. Some were even alight with colors that didn't even exist, or sparkled and dripped in disconcerting ways.
"Excellent," Kurama grinned, shoving his wand back into its holster. "I wonder what'll happen once the sprinklers go on in the greenhouses."
There was a long pause of contemplation.
"I think you might wanna take a day or two off work," Kuronue said, catching a distant tinkle of glass as something in that general area broke. Or, broke free.
"D'you think we might not have planned this out too carefully?" Kurama asked.
Another long pause.
“Still, you know... No need to get tentacle raped or something.” Kuronue looked oddly pleased at the possibility of such happening however. Especially since he knew it was possible.
Well, it was Kurama.
((OOC - Kuro socking done with mun approval. Basic chocolate plot rules apply, all the water in the school is magicked, cursed, charmed, and so forth, all with different effects up to the mun. Have fun!))

Date: 2010-12-22 03:21 am (UTC)It wasn't hard for Bobby to miss the little exchange between the brothers.
Sam was always too perceptive for such a little kid, and he could never put much past Dean for that matter.
He sighed. "Boys, it's ok. You don't remember this place, but it's safe. There was some kind of spell that misfired, makin both of you a lot younger than you oughta be. I have it on good authority that you'll both be just fine come mornin'."

He had to admit it made sense, because one thing Dean knew for sure, he had not been seventeen when Sam was six, so if one of their ages was wrong, it made sense both were.
"So what, we're just supposed to live out the blast from the past for a day and then poof, every thing is back to normal?"

Date: 2010-12-22 10:12 pm (UTC)Sammy leaned his head against his brother’s arm. “Don’t wanna sleep. I have bad dreams,” he protested in a small voice.
Bobby frowned. A six year old Sam hadn’t been bothered by nightmares, not that he recalled. He wondered if it wasn't the elder Sam who had been having them. “You don’t have to, Sammy,” he assured, even though the kid looked ready to curl up on his brother and conk right out.

Date: 2010-12-23 01:14 am (UTC)"It's alright, Uncle Bobby, I'll stick with Sammy." The look Dean gave Bobby said it all, if Sam was afraid to sleep then Dean was going to sit like a sentry if he had to, to make sure his brother did. Because all through his life of being a kid, that's what he had done.
Dean dropped his voice so the sleepy Sam couldn't hear "I'll go check the place out once he's out if you want, just not till he's alright."

Date: 2010-12-23 01:31 am (UTC)Bobby couldn't have been prouder of Dean in that moment. "All right. C'mon, we'll take him back to my room, let him try and sleep there." He lowered his voice. "You talk to your brother about this in the mornin, Dean. If he's havin nightmares, he can't be hiding that from us."
It didn't take long to collect the half-asleep Sammy and carry him back to Bobby's room in Gryffindor. Almost immediately the young Sam dropped off to a fitful sleep. Bobby said nothing, he simply set up two chairs and found some coffee for them.

He didn't care what he had to do, if Sam was suffering Dean was going to make it right, he didn't know any of the bitterness that bad choice would lead him to yet, right now all he was, was his little brother's protector, the one thing that he always came back to being no matter how far the path strayed was big brother.

Date: 2010-12-23 05:48 pm (UTC)Sammy thrashed in his sleep, making low sounds of distress. The old hunter reached out to soothe the boy. "The two of you wind up saving the entire world, Dean. It wasn't easy on either one of you."
The boy quieted under Bobby's touch, falling back into a fitful sleep. "I don't like that he's hidin this from us. That ain't like Sam," he couldn't keep the worry from his voice. The youngest Winchester was always the one that needed to talk, to get things out in the open. It could be annoying, but it was something he had come to expect.
"When he's himself again, you talk to him. Hell, try and call Cas if you can." Bobby wasn't sure if an angel could travel to Hogwarts, but if anyone would answer Dean's call, it would be Castiel.

Date: 2010-12-30 04:02 am (UTC)"He knows better than to hide stuff from me, it always gets him hurt, why's he bein' an idiot." It wasn't that Dean didn't trust that Bobby could soothe Sam, it was that he knew he needed to be the one to take care of his brother and that is why the teenager got up from his chair and angled himself in a seated position on the bed, one leg hanging over the edge, the other stretched out before him. He reached out once he was settled and just pulled his little brother to his side, one arm over the smaller Winchester.
"I don't know who Cas is, but I'll make him talk, he ain't gonna hide things from me." This Dean didn't know about him, but one could hope that when the hex was off him Dean would remember so he could make sure Sam was alright.

((we can call it here, if you'd like))
