It was an 'I am older and a punky little upstart like you will have to get up pretty early in the century to get the drop on me' look. Kurama intended to show his gratitude for the help, of course, but he intended not to be swindled in the process.
He let the silence stretch out between them for a bit longer. "Well, was there something else you wanted? That doesn't much look like a costume, compared to what you normally prance around in, so you'll have to be convincing if you want a treat."
