So, in IRC, we were chatting about who has that VOICE...You know the one, where they could read the phone book or the dictionary and you'd be pleased to listen for hours and hours on end. The ones who make you stop and listen when they're on screen. Those voices. Some of the ones we came up with are following, but please, feel free to add (and if you want, tell us if you hear their voice when RPing ;) )
Ogata Megumi
Patrick Stewart
Michael Dorn
James Earl Jones
Alan Rickman
Hyde
Tilda Swinton
Hugh Quarshie
David Bowie
Takahiro Sakurai
I will admit that the first on the list is my ultimate favorite. She voices Kurama and Yukimura and Sakon in Japanese and I love her voice. My friends tease me about this (a lot). The last is Kusu's voice actor. The two together in my head...oh, very nice. ^^ (no, that's not why Kusu and Kurama ended up together :P)
Anyways, tell us your personal VOICES :D

Date: 2010-07-14 03:46 am (UTC)Mike Patton (best known for his remarkable musical work, but he is also a voice actor. Mostly, he's voiced monster-type sounds for video games.)

Anthony Heald did some Star Wars audiobooks, and if you ever come across them it's worth a listen. He does voices!

Date: 2010-07-16 07:18 pm (UTC)Liam Neeson. Mark Hamill. (Have you heard him as Fire Lord Ozai or Todd Wainio in the World War Z audiobook? Ohyes. His voice ages like scotch, even if the rest of him doesn't quite follow.)
Alessandro Juliani, Edward James Olmos, James Marsters (I am nine books into listening to him read the Dresden Files and SO VERY YAY), Nika Futterman (Asajj Ventress in The Clone Wars currently running--amusingly enough, also the "Give it to me baby" in The Offspring's "Pretty Fly (For a White Guy)")... I think I have a Thing for deeper voices XD
