Letter to the hat/Board of Governors

Dear Sorting Hat and Board of Governors,

For reasons that are none of your goddamn business, I have decided to resign from the groundskeeper position.

I most humbly suggest Rubeus Hagrid, my predecessor, take my place as groundskeeper, as he is highly qualified and is recommended not only by myself, but by Albus Dumbledore.

Your curriculum vitae was submitted to us by Vislor Turlough, who wishes to step down from his post. It is therefore with great pleasure that we grant you the position as Gamekeeper and Keeper of the Keys at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, until such time as you and the Board of Governors mutually agree to your retirement. Your remuneration for such shall be *G*5,000 per annum, with room, board and sufficient robes and linens, and a House Elf designated to attend to your needs. You may continue to live in Gryffindor House; although we would not wish to deprive you of your current happy home in the Groundskeeper's hut. Enclosed are the keys to your hut, the staff room, and staff bath.
