George was carried as quickly as Glorfindel could manage up to the room the Elf-Lord shared with Elrond in Gryffindor. The Elves' respective routines at Hogwarts were somewhat different from what they'd been in Imladris, and he had made a point of familiarising himself with Elrond's so that he would know where to find him at any given hour, which served him well now. Glorfindel dearly hoped today would not be the day his friend decided to break habit, and that he would be in their room when he got there—if anyone at Hogwarts stood a chance at healing George's terrible wound, it would be Elrond.

He managed the door with only minimal awkwardness in spite of carrying George in his arms as he was, and immediately moved to lay him on one of the unused beds, rolling the pant leg on the Man's injured side as he explained, "He was bitten by—someone, something—quite badly, the bite pierced through bone. He has also been poisoned, but I cannot say by what..." Only then did he glance up at Elrond, his anxiety apparent. The full story would have to wait. "Can you help him?"

He moved aside to give Elrond room to work, and was already summoning a house-elf to bring a basin of water and clean linen, and other practical items he knew Elrond would require. The only hint that Glorfindel might also be injured was in the way he favoured one arm slightly—but a dislocated shoulder was nothing compared to what George was experiencing, which made it very easy for Glorfindel to ignore his own pain while he tended to the Man.
