I've got a surprise for you: tickets to the London Ballet. Four tickets, actually, since I was sure you'd want A to see it as well. There's someone I'm bringing as well, whom I'd like you to meet.

The performance will be of Tchaikovsky's Sleeping Beauty. Can you imagine, seeing it performed on Tchaikovsky's own home planet? Sometimes it's hard to believe we're here, on Earth-That-Was, and sometimes it's even harder to believe we're here.

River : A :: Simon : this person. His name's Billy Brennan. You may or may not have met, I can't be certain. He might've known of you before you and I were popcorn, and that makes for fuzzy distinctions.

I don't want you to feel pressured. You've been doing so well at Hogwarts. The part I worry about most isn't the ballet itself, but getting there and back. Most of it will be by Floo, but there will be some intervals of walking and being among crowds. If the crowds or noise overwhelm you, we can go back any time. The nice thing about this century is that there's nothing here that can have been subliminally planted to reach you specifically. I'm reasonably confident we can do this without mishap.

Am I worrying too much? You can stop me any time. I'll try to stop.
