Day cruising (Open RP, Great Hall)

Realizing that it had been more than long enough since he explored the particular acoustics of the Great Hall, Kurama had grabbed up his guitar and made his way from the greenhouses to the many-purposed hall Not to be left behind, his imperialistic cat followed at his heels, sniffing at passers-by in a queenly manner. Finding a seat at one of the massive windows, he began to tune and re-tune the sadly neglected instrument, playing snatches of songs as they came to him, or as people passed.

Belophoebe seemed to agree with this and continued purring. With a little laugh, Kurama pulled a capo from his pocket and hooked it to the neck of the guitar and began playing (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MseYTD5XYDQ&feature=related) again. "I'll be sure to keep my heart in the fight," he hummed in tune.

"Then, it shall be a most interesting fight," Yukimura said softly, not wanting to interrupt the song. "It will be most pleasant to see your whole heart in battle. Perhaps we shall even reach a conclusion," he said more firmly when the song was over.

"A conclusion," Kurama mused, going back to playing absent chords. "We shall see. Hopefully, we'll get to see what that Tenguko of yours is really capable of." He grinned. Such a fight would be magnificent, like the battles of his old life.

"We shall see, indeed. I shall be honoured if you truly fight me as a friend," he said. Belophoebe demanded his attention for a few moments as her royal due. "I should be most interested in seeing just which weapon you bring to bear on me," he said when her majesty allowed him to speak again.

"Do you want to be surprised?" He lifted an eyebrow. He already knew that he would fight with the whip first and foremost. No use holding back from the beginning. If this was to be a real fight, there would be no pulling punches.

Yukimura considered a moment. "As long as you come to me with your whole heart and do not hold back," he said. He was scratching under Belophoebe's chin and her head was almost on her back, purring loudly. "She is quite an indulgent lady, isn't she?" he laughed.

"Oh, she's a little attention whore," Kurama said off-handedly. Ignoring him, Belophoebe just poufed out her muzzle and purred louder. He watched his cat act like queen of the universe another moment. "I promised you I would fight with everything I have, and I will." Everything, that is, within reason. He did not want to go the same way he had gone with Karasu, back to that dark, stupid animal mind that did nothing but hit and hit until there was nothing left... or until it was stopped.

Yukimura regarded Kurama a long moment. "Then, it will be a very interesting fight. I do look forward to it."

"As do I. Incidentally," he looked up from his cat to Yukimura's face and grinned. "When do you have some free time?"

"My time is free for now, however," Yukimura said, bowing slightly, "if you are not opposed to an audience, I would beg leave to invite someone. The Baron Harkonnen is most interested in battle and would enjoy the diversion."

"I bet he would," Kurama chuckled. He had a feeling the Baron would be happiest if things degenerated to a muddy wrestling match, but kept his tongue in check on that end. "I am unopposed, perhaps I'll bring someone along as well." After all, an audience made all the difference in fights like these. Kusuriyuri or Mello, perhaps. Probably Kusuriyuri, as it would be wise to have a healer on hand.

Yukimura bowed slightly. "I have no opposition," he said. "Though, we may delay long enough to notify them?" he asked. He himself was too interested in having an actual fight to worry about what the Baron would prefer it degenerate into.

"Of course. And, where shall we hold this fight?" He half hoped Yukimura would prefer outdoors, for the room as well as the Room of Requirement still being on Kurama's 'places to avoid' list for a while.

Yukimura smiled. "Where we both have the most room to maneuver," he replied, his voice rippling with laughter. "On one of the lawns that has been freed of the scourge of gazebos."
