Flying
Unable to wait any longer now that everyone had agreed to go flying with him, Adam sent owls to Nny, Susan, River, Kaylee, Teatime, Harry, Ginny, and Devi to let them know that he'd gone down to the Quidditch pitch and to meet him there. He snatched his broom and practically ran down to the field, excited to meet new people and get into the air once again.

Smirking slightly, Adam couldn't resist showing off as he pulled his broom up a few feet lower than Harry's. He knew Harry was the better flyer, but he was feeling playful, and flying with Harry made for a fun challenge.

"Nice one!"
Harry is mostly impressed with the skill and not really fazed at all. "That's called a Wrongski Feint, made famous by Viktor Krumm. Usually people chicken out before they get that close to the ground. Or don't pull up in time and smash onto the ground"
He grins. "You're really good."

Adam pulled off a little salute. "Thanks! But I'm just playin' around. Nny and River are much more nimble than I am. And Roland is real fast. Did you know that in his world the Golden Snitch'll explode if you touch it - like a grenade. And he still volunteered to be Seeker anyway! To save everyone else. He's definitely a Gryffindor."

Pulls out a little bag
"You wanna practice with a non-exploding snitch?"
no subject
He looked at the bag and smiled.
"I'm not a Seeker, but I'm certainly willin' to try!"

Harry opens the drawstring of the bag and pulls out the snitch. It sits for a moment on his hand before unfurling its wings and zipping away.
"What position are you playing?"
no subject
Hope you boys don't mind if we join you! River was just asking to meet you, Harry. She's playing seeker for Ravenclaw this year.

Aw, come River, take at least one shot at catching it so we can see what you can do!

((OOC: Hmmmm... how should we handle the Snitch? It almost needs to be an independent player in its own right to get the right element of, ah, independence! ;) Or has this been worked out in another thread? ))

Adam watches the snitch fly away.
"I'm Keeper, actually. I like protectin' things. I wouldn't have minded Chaser, but we've got enough of those, and there were already three people interested in Seeker, so I didn't throw my hat in for that. I won't be a Beater, though. I don't wanna hurt anyone even accidentally."
((sorry for the delayed response! I had my eyes dilated yesterday and couldn't read at all. XP))

Harry looks around for the snitch
"Alright. I can't see it now, so we should probably try and catch it." he grins at Adam and then speeds back up into the air.
((Eeee! Good excuse! Hope you're ok.))

Adam laughed and sped off, too, looking for a glint of gold.
((*laughs* No, I'm fine. Just a regular check-up. Thanks, though!))
