When closets rebell ((Open RP, Great Hall))

There were things about this school that were beyond Kusuriyuri's dreams. That he'd find ones so precious to him as Kurama and his students was still surprising to him, still enough to bring a secret smile to his lips.

There were things about this school that were beyond baffling. The tendency for friends, enemies, and otherwise to show up and vanish with little notice, for one.

The fact that his closet refused to give him anything but a short black dress this morning was another. No matter where he looked in their apartment, he could not find his kimono or even any of Kurama's clothes to charm to fit him. It was the only clothing, aside from a black headscarf, he could find.

Believing his closet to be as perverse as the rest of this school, he also figured he wouldn't find his normal clothing until he'd been properly humiliated by wearing what his closet offered.

Boukensha looked at him in askance, but insisted on riding on his shoulder as he went to the Great Hall on his way to his office to study. He hoped that there would be few about as he left, but was sure that there was some perversion in the school that would cause his hope to be rendered into naught.

Matt was dying of laughter. "Oh, if only I had a camera!"

"A camera?" Kusuriyuri asked. "One of those things that makes pictures? Why would you wish for one of those?"

"Cause you're in a dress! People would love to see this!" Namely, Mello.

"You did say you would wear one as well," Kusuriyuri reminded him. "Why then is it odd?"

"Yeah, I did, but we didn't expect it from YOU!" Matt doubled over in laughter again.

Kusuriyuri looked at Matt. "Have you had more medicine?" he asked.

"Well, don't they say laughter is the best medicine? So I guess yeah!" His laughter died down but the grin was still there.

"Is that so?" Kusuriyuri asked. Boukensha gave one last complaint before settling back down on Kusuriyuri's shoulder, though he continued to glare at Matt.

"Yeah. Don't know where I heard it from, though. But seriously, you look great in that."

Kusuriyuri gave Matt an odd look. "As you say. This one is more comfortable in his normal attire, though." Boukensha mewed his disgust and agreement. "As is the little prince," he said.

"Awww, little Boukensha doesn't like change, does he?" Matt patted the little prince on the head.

"He prefers kimono as there is a collar for him to ride within," Kusuriyuri replied. He could hear Boukensha purr in response to the attention. "He must work to stay upon this one's shoulders without the collar."

"Well, some exercise would be good for him. Keeps him from getting fat." Subtle, Matt is not. Except in computers.

"He does run about with Belophoebe in the gardens, but he is small to keep up with this one walking," Kusuriyuri said. "He also seems determined to stay so," he added, a touch of fondness in his voice.

"He wasn't the runt, perchance, was he?"

Kusuriyuri considered a moment. "Branch was nearly the same size," he replied, "but is much larger now. But, it may be there were not of the same litter."

"Hm. Point taken. A DNA match might prove if they were, but I'm not THAT bored."

"Perhaps he his fondness for riding in collars will prevail over his body's growth? He is quite stubborn," Kusuriyuri said.

"A stubborn cat that stopped his growth through sheer will alone." Matt shrugged. "Then again, this is a magic school."

"That is so," Kusuriyuri said. "Have you worked more on your maps," he asked.

Matt yawned and nodded. "Still need to make it damage-free, but there are more wards on it so Karasu can't use it."

"Are you not sleeping?" Kusuriyuri asked, concerned. "There is time for rest. You should not strain yourself."

Matt shrugged. "I've always had trouble sleeping. If it wasn't one thing, it's the other. I've coped, though."

Kusuriyuri frowned. "If it becomes problematic, please, come to me. There are things that will help you sleep that are not problematic."

Matt shrugged again. "Like I've said, I've had this since I could remember, and I've run on little sleep before."

I think I've found my sick/comfort victim.
