Out of the blue, an owl winged its way to Vesper one quiet afternoon.

Vesper,

I'm impressed by the depths of your imagination, but I can't believe you'd put such things in a letter. Really, what if someone else had gotten it? I'm sure they'd be shocked by what creative things you'd like to do to me. Even I'm mildly surprised. Suggesting the library was a good touch, but I think we should discuss these things in person.

James

The reply came by return owl.

...You've lost me. Completely.

Again.

There were certain traditions to be observed on occasions like this. Such as the pacing, and the head-shaking, and the calling oneself a fool.

And then the eventual capitulation.

Vesper pushed open the door to the library and looked around for stern librarians or potential witnesses. "James?" she hissed.

Vesper approached, eyes narrowed to slits.

"You do know that every ounce of my better judgment votes against this. Don't you?"

"Especially when it's encouraged by a bad, bad influence."

She walked slowly toward him, hips swaying.

"Or it could simply be that I get so bored around here. So bored, in fact, that I come up with brilliant ideas and then forget them as fast as they come into my head."

She stepped up nose-to-nose with Bond.

"Refresh my memory?"

"Hmmm. That does sound like something I'd write," she agreed, easing her arse over the edge of the table. "Afraid it's still a bit hazy, though..."

Vesper chuckled throatily.

"Sorry, not coming back to me," she purred. "Perhaps if we split the difference and take our shirts off slowly at the same time...?" She looked Bond up and down. "Then again, I do so like to watch."

"Tsk. And here I thought you'd perfected the land-speed record for stripping, James?" She attacked the vest buttons with a wicked grin.

Vesper leaned back a bit on the table. "You know, you did make a deal with me there. I think it's only right you should hold up your end, don't you?"

She lifted an eyebrow. "Surely, Mr. Bond, you're not suggesting I wouldn't respect you in the morning?"

Her shoulders went back to allow him better access to her shirtfront.

"I'm beginning to get the general idea," she whispered back, and reached for his belt buckle. "Why don't you fill in a few more...specifics, hmmm?"

"Really," she breathed, loosing the fly of Bond's pants and trying to control her breathing. "Are you quite sure I wasn't thinking of some sort of ward or cloaking spell around this point...?"

"Let us just say I've come to appreciate the virtue of going unnoticed," she purred back, one hand busy inside his fly. "Are you sure you wouldn't like to pull out your wand before I...pull out your wand, as it were?"
