It was the first time Near had been in the position of getting birthday presents for a boyfriend, and it was somewhat baffling.

After all, if Mello wanted something, wouldn't he just get it?

Still, Near wanted to at least try to celebrate. While Mello was out, he had a house elf bring in a chocolate cake, and stacked the neatly wrapped gifts he'd gotten on the bed; the obligatory high-end chocolate, several rare tomes on spell research, a few new floggers and other interesting 'toys'...

I laugh at him, too. "Well, there are a couple of ways to clean you. My tongue, a bath, a spell. Take your pick," I offer, putting more cake in my mouth. No sense in wasting it.

"It would be more in keeping with the theme of your gifts to use your tongue," Near points out. "But it's your birthday, after all. If you'd rather spell it away and curl up with one of your new books, that's up to you."

"Oh, now that's a tempting proposition. An exciting night with Old English. I don't know how I resisted this long." I bend at the waist and lick some of the frosting off his stomach. "But, that would be such a waste of good chocolate. And, this present is still wrapped," I say, running my fingers over the leather. "So, I guess I'll have to suffer a while longer without the excitement of dead languages."

"Ancient tongues can wait," Near teases, and winks. "We should start with something livelier." He tries not to giggle at Mello's mouth on the sensitive skin of his belly.

"Livelier?" I tease and then move so I'm straddling his legs. I wonder how long he can manage to hold still. I run my fingers up his sides lightly while licking at his belly.

He fights not to squirm, not to giggle. Mello's touch is light enough to make him want to shriek and thrash, and the game is becoming clear; hold still while Mello torments him, hold out as long as he can.

I can feel him trembling, can see him struggling to keep his breathing even. As I finish the cake, I take my time licking his stomach clean, teasing his sides and chest with my fingers as I do. He can be very stubborn when he wants to be and actually manages to make it through. "Oh," I say, licking up his stomach. "I still need to unwrap this one." "Ahhh..." Near sighs as the supple strip of leather falls away. "Are you ready to play with your presents, then? Have you thought of some nice games?"

I raise Near's arms above his head. With the leather, I tie hist wrists together. "I could make sure they all work properly." I tilt my head and look at him. God, he looks good. "Though, the body paint may need to wait. There is cake to compete with and it's better to start with a clean palate for body paint," I tease him.

"Oh!" The suddenness of the movement makes Near gasp, even though he was expecting something of the sort. "Yes, you can do... do that, oh yes. Mello..."

I kiss him. "My little bondage slut," I whisper, kissing a trail from his lips to his ear. I bite his ear lobe gently, enough for him to feel teeth but not really hurt him. "But you value them," he points out. "And I value you."

I kiss him lightly before sliding away from him so I can get the lube and adjust his legs so they're over mine. I smile at him "Let's see if this will change your mind about toys. One would think you'd like them, given the number you have," I say, waving my free hand at his legos and cards. I then rub his leg and push the stimulator in gently until it is all the way in.
