In his life, Gwendal had learned a few things.

The Maoh was a happy-go-lucky dreamer who lacked on follow through, though he was an stubborn.

Wolfram was headstrong, hot-tempered, blindly loyal.

What he hasn't learned, yet, is about this place, this "Hogwarts" nor of the house "Hufflepuff" that Wolfram was now loyal to.

So, now to wander about the halls. Though, with the moving stair cases and the myriad of corridors, he is soon lost though admitting such is something he would never do.

Instead, he stands, staring at the ceiling, his thumbs working over his index fingers unconsciously.

Phoenix is lost too, though that is nothing new for him, what with the staircases that move.

After getting on the sixth staircase that moved while on it, Phoenix glared, yelled, "oh yeah? I hope you fall apart, you creaky staircase!" and turned, seeing Gwendal.

"Them giving you trouble too?"

Gwendal swings around at the sound of the staircase moving. While he can sympathize, even agrees with the man's sentiment, it is not something he'd ever say out loud.

"Trouble?" he asks. Trouble is cleaning up after the Maou. Moving staircases weren't anything compared to some of those tasks, stopping a war on the verge of breaking out. "Somewhat," he conceded.

And his manners return to him. "Gwendal von Voltaire of House Hufflepuff," he introduces himself, knowing that if Wolfram is close enough to hear him, it would be added and it would be more conducive to getting to know other people to have Wolfram not amend his statements.

"Phoenix Wright. Ravenclaw." He held out a hand for Gwendal to shake. "I remember you, I got in trouble with Pearls over something you said."

"Ah, yes, I recall. About the marriage customs. Though, the girl called you 'Mr. Nick.'" He pauses a moment. "She, Pearls, is alright?" The same awkward feeling he'd had over their last conversation began to fill him again.

"I..." and Phoenix got a troubled look on his face. "I don't know. I haven't seen either her or her cousin in a long time. I'm getting a bit worried."

"I am sorry to hear that." Gwendal looked away. This was the second time a conversation had gone badly with this person. It wasn't a good indication.

"Ah, I have found some with whom I am familiar here," he said, trying to rescue the conversation from becoming a disaster.

"Oh, who's that?" Gwendal was lucky then, only two people he knew were here and now both were missing.

"My brother and his fiance," Gwendal answered, deciding it was probably best to avoid mention of demons momentarily. "They were..." pleased, shocked, loud... "surprised I was here."

"Wouldn't blame them. To be here for so long and suddenly someone you know shows up here? Surprise would be on the top of the list."

"Hmmm. Yes." And demanding. "Were you going somewhere in particular?" Not that he was in a position to help, but it did help with conversation?

"I'm trying to get back to Ravenclaw. It's supposed to take five minutes from the Great Hall to Ravenclaw. I've been trying to get there for an hour now." He glared at the staircases. "I swear those things have it out for me."

Gwendal nodded. "They move frequently. I have yet to explore much beyond Hufflepuff." Though, how far beyond Hufflepuff he was now, he had no clue.

"No classes, even? There've been more recently than there used to be."

Gwendal glanced around, looking for possible listeners. "I can't find my way in this school," he whispered, ashamed to admit it.

"Ah." Phoenix understood completely. "Well, the only reason I have any idea where things are was because I wandered around a lot during the first couple weeks I was here."

An opening. "Perhaps you could share your expertise, then?"

Phoenix told Gwendal about where he knew certain places to be, complete with hand pointing.

Gwendal paid close attention, uncertain if he'd ever be able to find any of these places again based off the directions given him since he didn't know how he'd gotten to where he was, much less where that was.

"Thank you," he said when the explanation seemed to draw to a close.

"No problem. Better to have some idea than be lost. Although you'll always be at the mercy of those," he pointed at the staircases.

Though he wonders if Phoenix is lost or not, he doesn't ask. To do so would be beneath his dignity. "Indeed," he agrees.

"Now. That stupid staircase backtracked me. I'm going to try to get to Ravenclaw a different way this time."

"Thank you for your help, then," Gwendal replied, no closer to getting anywhere than when they'd started. "Good luck."

"You too," Phoenix smiled as he walked down a corridor. Hopefully this way will yield results.
