B awakens [Closed for Wammy kids and others of their choice]

It was about a week since B attacked Matt, and thanks to sedatives, he's been out cold for that amount of time.

Honestly, he shouldn't be so surprised that he wakes up in a straitjacket, tied up, unable to escape.

Near had given the matter some thought. For practicality's sake, a drag off-campus and a slit throat would have been most desirable. But there were other things to be considered.

Or, to be upfront, Matt's probably hunger for some sort of vengeance to be considered. A, too, might have something to say about it.

And if L had wanted to just drag him off-campus and kill him, B would be dead already.

But no. L hadn't killed him, so perhaps L had something in mind. And if not, between them they should be able to come up with someone.

Which is why Near had found a very secluded room, and warded it around with charms to make it very easy to overlook, and soundproofed. And even so, made sure B was wandless and restrained by both magical and physical means.

Torture was more Mello's forte, though, so Near waited for his suggestion.

I'm sitting on the teacher's desk, eating some chocolate quite happily. Finally over the worst of that damn cold. I'm a little irritated and here's a chance to work that all out. I brought a bag of toys. Not the ones I've been using with Near. These were designed for actual torture. A cat-o-nine tails, each strip braided with obsidian blades, each one curved like a cat's claw; a six in triangular blade that when a trigger in the handle was pulled would separate into three sections; a few other whips and knives and the 22 I always had on me.

"Where shall we begin?" I ask softly, hungrily, as B begins moving.

Beyond blinked for a few minutes, letting his eyes adjust to seeing again.

"Hello, Mihael, Nate."

He shifed as best he could in his straitjacket.

"Does this have to do with the thing with Mail?" he asked with mock innocence.

"You haven't been making very successful alliances, B. Your actions have been ill-considered. You have gone after people who do have allies. Who have friends. The note I read on you lead me to believe that you were intelligent, but your behavior suggests otherwise."

He turned his attention to Mello. "I think we want Matt to see this, don't we? And L, and A."

I ignore B's obvious attempts at trying to rile us. I turn to Near. "B has a very limited scope as far as how relationships are supposed to be. If he has decided that we three are like the original three, then our relationship must fit into that mold. He completely neglects anything and everything that doesn't fit within that mold. That is why he is a failure."

I smirk and take another bite of chocolate. "Matt should definitely be here, as should A. L will probably want to be." I reach out for Near's cheek. "Will you get them?"

He was intelligent. However, he is more insane nowadays.

"I wouldn't have touched him if you had, if you had done your job properly, Mihael."

This insanity has clearly overidden whatever sense of self-preservation B might has possessed.

"Try not to cause too much damage," Near says blandly. "I wouldn't want Matt to miss it. I'll be back soon."

And he's off in search of Matt, L, and A.

I smile the 'I'm a mobster, get the fuck out of my way' smile at B. "Don't worry," I reply to Near. "It's not like he can die. And, L and I are both rather good at healing charms now." I turn a much soft smile on Near. "There'll be plenty to go around."

When Near as left, I pick up the cat-o-nine-tails. "Done my job properly?" I ask B. "And, just what, pray, do you mean by that, Backup?" I let the thongs of the whip dangle by my foot, the obsidian clacking against the floor.

"You haven't been having fun with Matt. I can tell because he's too strong willed. He should be afraid of his own shadow. Just like A."

"Not been having fun with him? Ah, but I have, B. We just don't have the same definition of fun. I prefer my playmates to have a strong will. I find it rather dull otherwise. It is far more satisfying to play chicken on motorcycles when the other person is quite willing to play with you rather than hiding from you."

I know perfectly well what he means. What I don't know is where the fuck he got that idea. So, why not ask. "Tell me, B, who told you that your playmates should be afraid of you?"

I really hope Matt forgives me for letting this sick fuck twist my words, but no matter what I say, he's going to assume it, anyways.

"No one told me. I figured it out. Why else would Wammy and Roger put us together if they did not want one of us to dominate? And of course, for one to dominate, one must be submissive. Afraid to rise up, to try to dominate me.

I laugh. "You're not worth the effort to dominate, B. You're not even worth the effort to eliminate. You are nothing!" I walk across the room, backhanding him across the face. "See, here you are, bound, no escape. And, you know what's even better, Backup?" I lean forward and whisper in his ear, "A will dominate you. A is better than Backup."

Beyond glared and gritted his teeth. A, better than B? Impossible.

"Only if he's coached by his precious Lawliet. Get him alone, and he's a cowering mess again."

I shrug. "I think it has more to do with cutting you out of his life," I reply conversationally as I cross the room again. I let the cat-o-nine-tails drag behind me, clicking and catching every so often on the floor. God, I want to use it on him, but first blood really should go to Matt or A. With a slightly disappointed sigh, I put it on the desk and pick up a bull whip.

I turn to face B again. "No one is going to cower before you." I let the whip lash out, snapping at his waist.

He barely flinched.

"Shouldn't that be 'no one is going to cower before you now? For now A and Matt have done so."

I smirk. "No one is going to cower before you, B." And, because it quite possibly could be amusing, I use the whip to trace an M on his chest. "From here on, you are a mockery, a joke, a foolish idiot, and nothing more."

"Mockery. I suppose one could say that of me, I do mimic L. You need to mock more, though."

I lash at his face, across his mouth. "You do not mimic L. You can't even hope to achieve his level. You mimic nothing more than your own sick imagination."

It's at this point that Matt arrives, slipping quietly into the room. Even with Near's careful instructions it took him a while to find the right one.

He takes in the scene; if he's taken aback by the elaborate get-up, or the nasty-looking whip Mello's wielding, it's impossible to tell - his expression predictably hidden behind the high collar of his vest and the large sunglasses that are, for now, replacing the goggles B destroyed.

Matt's got nothing to say. He'll observe for the time being.

Beyond's tongue flicked out to touch the wound Mello left across his mouth, shivering at the pain. "And I suppose your imagination is up to snuff?"

I smirk again. "My imagination knows no bounds, B. However, we're not limited to just my imagination, are we? I'm sure A has an imagination to work with as does Matt. I should think they get an opportunity to play before I fully release my imagination, don't you?"

I turn to Matt and wave at the desk behind me. "Anything you want to play with? There's more in the drawers, as well."

Matt shrugs; he's been taking a vague look through Mello's bag of tricks, and to be honest...

"I think A should get to do the most damage."

He'd never even been in a fight, before this. Torturing someone with knives is something of a jump.

"No!" For one Beyond betrayed a fearful emotion. "Mail first! He is here first, and he doesn't need Lawliet or that Yagami to hold his hand."

Matt pulls out his gun - holding it by the barrel - crosses the room, and hits B across the face with it. Hard.

He might be playing into what B wants. He doesn't really care.

"... okay, now answer." Matt goes back to lean against the teacher's desk.
