The Unpopcorning of Light Yagami. Open RP

Awareness was the first thing to come to Light, but it might as well not have because the only thing that came forth was nothingness. Am I dead?, crosses the mind briefly before descending back to nothing. It feels cramped in this space, but also as if it goes on forever. That doesn't make sense, but it is all there is to feel. Memories float back lazily like clouds, but of where Light Yagami is currently or what he did just before escapes him. The last thing he remembers is finding out that Yotsuba has been proffiting off of Kira's power. Then, hearing comes back with the sound of a great

POP!

Suddenly there is floor under him, and butter all over him. Light lifts his head and sight returns just before the smell and taste of butter overpowers everything momentarily. Once he get's over the fact that there is butter everywhere, Light takes a moment to check the rest of himself over. His hair is a mess, and he is wearing a green sweater with the Slytherin insignia on it that goes well with the green socks and black shoes on his feet, although the socks are covered by tan pants. On one wrist there is a waterproof (hopefully butter proof too) watch, the other has a handcuff locked on it. Light's eyes trail down the chain of the handcuffs, only to find that Ryuzaki is nowhere to be found.

"Is this another test, Ryuzaki?" Light wonders aloud as he stands up to see if the door of this room is locked. It wouldn't surprise him if this was a test, as Ryuzaki already seems to be off his rocker about certain things, but it also would be unsurprising if this wasn't L's doing. Wouldn't he be covered in something sweeter than butter if this was L's idea? Then again if not L then...?

The door is unlocked, so Light wanders into the hallway in search of a washroom or Ryuzaki, whichever is found first. The chain drags along the floor behind him, but his buttery footprints already cover the castle floor so Light doesn't bother to pick it up as he goes in a random direction.

"Huh?" Light reaches out to follow his father's order anyway, not seeing the relevence.

Suddenly he sees himself, but what is going on doesn't make sense. Light is- He's admitting to being Kira! And being shot...Ryuk! Why did Ryuk write Light's name down. Why would Light want everyone to die, he's not Kira! Or is he?! What is this thing he's touching?

"But I'm not Kira!" none of this is making sense, is it like that time he said he 'might' be Kira? But why does it end like that! Light tries to block what he has seen, it can't possibly be ture. Sure Light admits to himself that the Kira at Yotsuba is doing it wrong to how he would do it, and that he sometimes thinks like Kira, but how can he not remember being Kira if he is!
(ooc: i'm not familair with useage of the pensieve or movie verse, so I'm being vauge with what I know)

"Perhaps you just don't remember. I wouldn't blame you from being surprised, this is actually my memory from when you were caught." Sort of. "If you're from when I think you are, this hasn't happened. And I do recall him saying that it's possible to lose your memories of the Death Note."

The him in question was actually Near, but Soichiro had to keep up this pretense that he was still alive.

Light connects the him in Soichiro's sentence to L, because who else would find out such information?

"Your memory, so you really experienced this? What's a Death Note? Is that how Kira commits his murders, with a notebook of death? That doesn't seem probable, but neither does being able to kill someone with a heart attack by just knowing a name and face..." This is a lot to take in, and if it's true then Ryuzaki was right, Light is Kira. Misa is then the second Kira... it would make all the loose ends meet up, but how can he just accept it?

"It is. The person who's name is written in the Death Note will die." He winced. He still saw Light writing his name in it. "That's how people died. You looked at the name and picture of a criminal and wrote their name."

It was looking more likely that Light didn't remember being Kira. But he was still Kira.

This was one of the most difficult things Soichiro's gone through.

"Even with what you've shown me, I still find it difficult to accept. Is there any physical proof that you could show me?"

So all you have to do is write someone's name down in a notebook for them to die? That is too easy, how can something like that be possible? And to be in the hands of a human, that is terrible, even if Kira was getting rid of all the criminals...

He's got Soichiro there. How to prove it?

"Rem," he said. "Rem is another shinigami. She can confirm that you were Kira."

"'Another shinigami', who was the first?"

So the shinigami do exsist, but can it really prove anything?

"She was actually the first we met. The other was Ryuk. The one that killed you when his fun was had. She can confirm that it was your plan to kill L and that you worked as Kira. And Misa Amane as the second Kira."

"From what I saw, I don't see why he felt the need kill me. Not that the current me wants to be Kira, but..." the sentence is left unfinished, because Light doesn't want to say something stupid like Matsuda.

"What happened to Misa?" Light was a bit concered although he never saw her in any romantic way, but mostly he just wanted to change the subject.

"From what I gathered, Ryuk only gave you the Death Note to alleviate his boredom and once it was satiated, he wrote your name in it. Misa is here. I don't think she remembers being Kira either, and I promised Rem I wouldn't say anything to her." He did not say why.

"So I was givin a Death Note, and somehow ended up becomming a mass murderer. It sounds as if I had none to little choice in the matter. Is Ryuk here? Being the one to start this whole mess, then he should be the one with all the answers."

Ryuk gave me a death note, Rem is a shinigami, and Misa is the second Kira. So therefore Rem must be Misa's shinigami. Rem's word is probably crediable too then so it doesn't matter which shinigami we ask. But what if the shinigami lies?

"I...I'd like to believe that Light. I wish I could." He couldn't. Light willingly killed thousands of people, including Ryuuzaki and possibly himself as well. He doubted he was forced into this.

"Ryuk isn't here. Or at least, I haven't seen him."

"I see," Light doesn't want to believe that he'd do this on his own will, but it is still possible. "If I had memories of being Kira, I'd tell you what I was thinking in the begining, dad."

Because there'd be no point in hiding it once he's been found out.

He had a guess. He did remember the other Light saying sacrifice was necessary to create a perfect world.

"Right. Excuse me." He had to go. He had some owls to send.
