Camilla tucked the handkerchief away into her pocket. She couldn't help but laugh a little, not at Simkin but with him: she was obscurely delighted by his ostentatious gestures, the showmanship that would befit stage magic and yet was indubitably something more solid and real. (That elephant had definitely been real!)
