Closed RP: Chance and Henry in the library

Henry, in a frame of mind unusually thoughtful even for him, had made his way to the library on something close to auto-pilot. Next to his and Camilla's room, the library was a kind of sanctuary, whether he had any specific aim in mind or not.

It wasn't often that he did not, and today was no exception. He had spoken to a Dr. Chance Silvey about Caketown, which, so she said, was somehow connected with King Leonidas of Sparta. His own curiosity now piqued, he was determined to add his own research to hers--whatever this 'Caketown' and 'Candy Mountain' were, he had a feeling their connection to ancient Sparta would be...interesting, whatever else might be said of it.

He laid claim to an entire table, thumbing through the card catalogues and hunting up anything and everything that might have any bearing at all on his triumvirate of subjects. He'd brought an array of parchment and straight pens, determined to stay here until at least dinner.

"If you guys are sure," Chance says, at once grateful for the collaboration -- not to mention moral support and, as Dax says, safety in numbers -- and reluctant to let anyone else risk their kidneys on the trail of the elusive liopleurodon. "I think I can probably get funding from the school. Or the Ministry of Magic. I've been looking into wizarding grants for magical creatures research. Once I hear back, I'll owl you both."

Henry was seriously considering it. He hadn't been any further away from the school than London since he'd been resurrected. "We should make an intinerary," he said. "Once we know whether or not we've been approved for funding." If push came to shove, he could see if Camilla would agree to him drawing off some of their investments.

Hey. Dealing with the Kandy cult was serious business.

"I agree," Dax said, wholly serious. "You can't go off, foiling a millennium old cult without a proper itinerary."

Really! It ended sloppily for all involved parties.

"I'll keep an eye out for that owl."
