Her glare turned to a brief look of surprise at his appearance, and then a sheepish smile. "Hi. Sorry, I'm--I've been doing some research that I consider fairly important." She hefted the makeshift folder full of parchment up so he could see. "I need to make sure my notes are all here." She got to her feet, shifted the folder to one arm, and held out her hand. "Janet Fraiser."
