((Backdated to this fiasco. If you're in the hospital wing, feel free to jump in.))
Gillian woke in stages, little by little, until she found herself aware of light just beyond her closed eyelids and the faint scent of disinfectant. Her head was aching, but the ache was receding, and she opened her eyes just a bit, barely enough to focus.
She was in a bed, covered with sheets of a dazzling whiteness (or maybe the dazzle had more to do with the pain in her head than the sheets). The bed was flanked by other beds, and more lined up across an aisle. Hospital wing, she thought muzzily, and turned her head to see Carrie sitting in a chair next to the bed. The other girl’s head drooped slightly, the lines of her slim body eloquent of exhaustion; her thin fingers lay relaxed on the counterpane next to Gillian’s own, as though she’d been holding Gillian’s hand while the younger girl lay unconscious.
There were others in the wing; people bustling about, presumably doctors or nurses. Gillian could see Chance and the other lady, Galadriel, a short distance away, hovering over a different bed.
Faith?
Memory tumbled in; Gillian’s eyes flew wide and she winced at the attending headache, giving a squeak of pain. “Is she okay?”
((Ok'd by Chance-mun, Carrie-mun and Galadriel-mun))
