Stephen:
Results of testing your calming draft solution alpha are as follows: there is still a distinct tendency to make the patient fall asleep. Additional results: the effects take place several hours after the patient takes the dose -- almost three hours to the minute, to be precise.
I can be so precise because my unfortunately sleepy behaviour interrupted my date with Dr. Silvey. She apparently assisted me back to my office and joined me in sleeping on the couch.
She is still asleep on the couch and I am currently debating next steps.
I seem to be incapable of taking any woman on a first date without some type of unconsciousness ensuing.
Simon

Date: 2007-02-14 04:28 pm (UTC)Allow me to tender my gratitude for your assistance and the precision of your report. I have duly noted the effects are not diminished, only delayed in onset.
It is unfortunate the effects disrupted your subsequent plans. I should have offered some stimulant to counter it had you contacted me, and had I been capable of response. Prototype gamma, I have concluded, would suffice to knock out a herd of llamas. Clearly there is much work ahead of me.
I do not envy you at all, brother. You can only explain as best you may; failing that, there is always temporary relocation, in a word, flight. The Mediterranean is pleasant this time of year.- Stephen.
*warded, this time*
Date: 2007-02-14 04:54 pm (UTC)Anytime; only next time if there could be a warning so I might cancel any evening plans, I think it would be prudent.
If my fingers had been nimble enough to hold a pen, I would have sent word. As it was I feel I was lucky I had company.
God help me, that's tempting. I decided to start a pot of tea instead. Maybe if there's a breakfast tray between us she'll be less inclined to go for the throat.Simon.

Date: 2007-02-14 05:04 pm (UTC)Right. I hereby warn that you may not wish to take any experimental potions before flying brooms, performing surgery, or dating outspoken paleontologists.
Should Dr Silvey ever deign to speak to either of us again, I would be interested to hear what she observed of the potion's effects upon you.
I hope for your sake that it is very good tea. I may also mention I do know of a good Muggle travel agent based out of London.- Stephen.
