hh_mirrorThose of you who have been on IRC with me likely know that Comcast is evil I've been having some Intrawebs connectivity problems. Well, Comcast came around today to fix something else for a neighbor (so glad they decided to fix things over here at my parents' house, too...except they didn't), and now our cable Internet is completely dead. I'm on my mom's computer, using dialup, right now, but it's not the best solution, and I certainly can't spend hours on here. Comcast claims it's coming by tomorrow to fix things up, but it kind of doesn't matter, because I'm off to the Lumos convention thingy in Vegas tomorrow morning.
The point is that unless my mother manages to rejigger things when she gets home in a couple of hours, I likely will not be on IRC or posting very much of anything tonight. I'm gonna try to get some Peter responses done right now, but that's probably about it - unless we manage to get the cable Internet up and working again.
I will be on a plane to Lumos around 8:30 EST tomorrow morning, but as long as there's wireless Internet in the hotel where the con is (something I think is highly likely), I'll probably log on, chat a bit, do some posts, etc., by the evening (Pacific time).
My flight returns the morning of July 31, and I should be on and posting later that day/evening. But again, as long as I've got connectivity on my laptop at Lumos, I'll be posting at least sporadically, and probably regularly, while I'm there.
If anyone wants to send some bad vibes to Comcast, well, you've got my blessing. Thank the intrawebs gods that the house I'm moving into is getting service from Cox* (being set up August 1, so even if I don't move in there for a couple of weeks, I'll likely go down there if my parents continue to have connectivity issues).
Meanwhile, if you need something, shoot me an e-mail at mr.sirius.black @ gmail.com. I'll try to check a couple of times tonight.
