"Magical contraceptives," Sarah said, looking as honest as possible for having just thought the reason up so quickly. It was not really a lie, so much. "I was worried that the ones I used from home would no longer be effective here for some reason and I figured the hospital wing was the place to go for that."
The question answered, she looked at JD thoughtfully. "Would it be all right if I sat with him a bit, since no one else has come? I could talk to him, so he knows someone is here for him until his friends arrive."
