Zelgadiss had evidently been to the library in another of his increasingly sporadic attempts to find a Clair Bible manuscript or some other way to reverse the spell that made him a chimera in the books there. He had a bag slung over one shoulder bulging with books and was making the hike back to Gryffindor Tower; he'd have just stayed in the library, but it was getting late and they'd be closing soon in any case.

He whistled tunelessly to himself as he walked, not really paying much attention to where he was going - which meant he was quite startled when he turned a corner and nearly walked into someone. "Oh, I'm sorry. I should have been paying attention..."
