Boukensha was very good about being in the middle of everything when he wanted to be. Today was one of those days. He knew something exciting was happening and he wanted to be in the middle of it. Today, that excitement involved playing with the cloth that Kusuriyuri was trying to wrap a present for A given that the boy had decided that this day, the day he arrived at Hogwarts, would be his birthday.
The kitten, however, saw fabric and ribbons that were moving in very enticing ways and believed that Kusuriyuri must be playing with him, even when he was pushed away and gently chided. Boukensha was the prince of all around him and everything that occurred must, therefore, be for his entertainment. This, while mostly amusing, was beginning to be slightly troublesome. The scale was safe in it's own case, but the wards and small packages of sweets were becoming hopelessly scattered.
"Itoshii," he called when he heard Kurama return. The endearment brought warmth to his cheeks. "Ouji-sama wants for entertainment," he said, picking up the kitten, who purred in contentment and tried to catch Kusuriyuri's hand to play with.
