It was a lovely stroke of luck, really. To have begun already a suitable homunculus, and then to be presented with an experimental subject for soul transfer -- when did things ever work out so neatly? A voluntary subject, no less. Lezard Valeth decided he was going to like Hogwarts.

He would simply have to delay the creation of an animal familiar for himself until later. A pity, as the familiar would have been useful in the carrying of messages. For the present he would rely on school owls and house elves. A house elf was dispatched with the following note to B:

Mr. Beyond:

Preparations are complete for our experiment. I await you in my chambers.
