With L being unexpectedly taken from the castle, giving A a task where he was required to think and lead a bit seemed a good idea, especially coupled with getting him out for a while. He seemed to be jumping at everything more than usual and Kusuriyuri, for all his patience with his student, was ready to give him some Valerian just to calm him down for a little while. He did not blame his student for his anxiety, though. He understood it. He just didn't know how A found it to stay anxious for so long.

Remembering his promise to his new acquaintance, he sent an owl to Light to let him know they would be going and to meet them by the main doors. This would give him time, he hoped, to explain to A that he would be leading their expedition and there would be someone joining them.

He tapped on his student's door, knowing he would need to answer several questions before the door opened to him.

The Slytherin common room was occupied by a pile of books on its table. After that unhappy run-in with Malfoy, Ron had walked to his office. Not to do work, but to remind him that, yes, he had an office, damn it. And his own room, if he chose to use it! He didn’t have to take Malfoy’s crap when that bugger hadn’t earned a knut on his own in his whole life, and Ron taller, too. The youngest Weasley son had his own office where he could work completely without distracted.

That was why he was in the common room; work was boring and frustrating, and tended to cause more anxieties than it eased. So Ron was working on his first lesson plan public, like he would have done for homework assignments back in the day. That way Ron had plenty chances not to get anything done.
