Having gotten nowhere with his visions, Turlough had decided to consult a library. He supposed it would be related to Divination, but he didn't want to bother Kusuriyuri yet, and he definitely didn't want to bother the Doctor if it turned out to be the-well, his-future.

Alas, he would never make it to the library, for there was someone with...plans for him.

Turlough began to stir. He blinked as his eyes adjusted to the lighting and he looked up.

"Oh, it's you." He looked down. "Oh, this again."

"Just practicing." He was grinning brightly, wand still in hand. "This magic stuff is fun."

"I'm sure it is. Still mooning over the Doctor?" he asked.

"You really are a mouthy one, aren't you?" He twirled the wand between his fingers. "It's not a good habit, you know, especially when you're somewhere you can't die."

"Whatever. Can't be any worse than being turned into a girl, or that Hat Shore business."

"You think?" He aimed his wand, smirking. "Crucio!"

Ohhh, he'd been looking forward to testing that one.

"Aaah!" Turlough yelled, squirming in pain as he felt like knives were driving into him.

"Now, what was it you were saying about it not being worse than getting turned into a girl? Because really, I could keep it up all night."

Turlough was panting after that round of pain, but he had not lost his ability to snark yet. "I...bet...you...could."

Well, it hadn't been meant as a double entendre, but two could play that game. "Sounds like you're up for another round yourself. But I think I'd like to mix it up a little. Aguamenti!" He put a bit of extra oomph in it; a jet of water could be extremely unpleasant with enough force behind it. The Master was going for 'marked discomfort'.

Turlough spluttered as the water splashed upon him, he coughed as he accidentally breathed some in.

He hadn't meant to drown the brat; good thing no-one could actually die here. The reaction was good, though. "Now, how would you rate that for unpleasantness, on a scale of shower to firehose?"

He glared at the Master. "A burst pipe, maybe. What is the point of this anyway, Master?"

"Just testing out some spells. I needed a subject capable of describing the effects. It's just coincidence that it's you, but really, that couldn't have been better if I planned it."

"I'm SO flattered. Bet you will have FUN telling the Doctor you've got me hostage, too."

"How long do you think I'm willing to put up with you? 'Hostage' implies this is for his benefit. It's not. It's nothing to do with him. I doubt he'll ever find out."

"Joy. So I'm just here as a plaything. Well done. You've pissed me off."

"Oh no! I've made him angry!" The Master raised his hands to his mouth in a mockery of dismay that melted into a fit of manic laughter. "And the term is 'test subject'. I may be enjoying this, but it has a purpose."

Turlough didn't verbally answer, but he eyerolled. "So what is next, O Master?"

"Such a wiseass," the Master mused, levitating the chair Turlough was bound to and spinning it slowly. "That is the Earth term, isn't it? You seem to know their slang better than I do."

"I've certainly spent enough time on this planet. When was the last time we shared Earth, back in King John's day?" He shut his eyes, but that was causing nausea.

Ahhhh, interesting. He floated the chair a little higher and turned it upside down, leaving Turlough with nothing between him and a short but nasty drop but the ropes binding him.

"I wouldn't say we shared anything. I wonder why you'd put it like that. I think you've been putting on airs."

"And you hadn't? Prime Minister, I heard?" he stopped talking as he started to turn a bit green.

"I earned that title," he said in a tone of mild protest. "Of course, I conquered the rest. It went fairly well, all things considered."

Turlough didn't give him the satisfaction of an answer. Mostly cause he felt like he was going to be sick soon.
