He couldn't move the wires and dodge perfectly at the same time, but rather than get hit himself, he let the wires get struck where they may, and twisted to the side, putting Akabane between him and his sickles. He hoped he could get close enough to take one of the sickles in his hand when he got closer to Akabane, to try and draw blood at least.
