OOC Memes: When Writer's Block Attacks

Wishbone's chocolate made me remember an old meme that had been kind of fun.

Your character has been force-fed a truth potion and tied to a chair. There's no hope for escape, so don't bother trying. Yes, even for you, Bond. I see you working the knots. No, Lezard, you can't turn us all into tribbles.

Both characters and muns can ask questions. The characters have to answer truthfully, but if they're skilled in verbal gymnastics, they can try to talk their way out of answering. Make a post with the names of the characters up for play, and we'll interrogate them suitably.

Oh my, YES. Pretty much my entire adolescence was spent dreaming of the day I'd be old enough to change it by deed poll. By the time it came around, of course, I'd come to see the relative advantages of an unusual name.

Such as men from whom I want something. It tended to stick in the minds of professors, tutors, peer review chairs and job interviewers, I would take any edge I could get with any of those.

I rather think impertinent men like you would be my cross to bear by any other name as well. So you see.

Such is the curse of an assertive woman, I would say. Looks merely give a topic for impertinence.

...I, I'm not really sure. My instinct is to say I enjoy attention. But having experienced the dark side of attracting attention - that is, from people who go way beyond impertinence into outright cruelty - I find myself shying away from it. It's very confusing.
