Brice looked at the ring again, closely this time. It was... a ring. Yeah, it was nice. He wasn't into jewelery, but it was okay in this case. He'd wear it. Sapphire... He should have expected that.
"No, no, it's fine," he said. "Very nice. Shiny. I think I'll live wearing that." He kissed her on the lips again, quickly. "Did you ever get to see your ring at all?" She'd rushed out of there awfully fast. "It's on the bedside table if you want to take a look."
