Right. His diplomacy needed work. To be fair, he hadn't had much practice outside of House Jaelre itself; most of the Dalesfolk and elves and such weren't inclined to talk.
With a name like that, he thought not being Sparklypoo material could only be a good thing, but knew enough of diplomacy not to say that - and, hopefully, not to show it. "Slytherin perhaps."
