Susan was, after all, his indirect link to the whole thing--Henry told her things, and she in turn passed them on to Ryder. Though maybe she wouldn't anymore, now that she was sort of human--he'd gotten the impression that she'd only relayed the information because it hadn't occurred to her that she shouldn't. As a well of information, her humanity might dry her up.
