He raised an eyebrow but didn't push the subject. He could understand her anger at the Petrellis-minus-Peter at the moment. Since realizing that she was adopted, and even moreso since discovering her abilities, he had seen her need for reassurance that she was wanted and loved. He had tried to show her, though he had tried to keep it hidden that he knew the reasons behind it. A little reassurance on her worth as a person here, some extra attention with her homework there... it had been like a balancing act. He liked to think that his opinion mattered to her. And as nice as it would have been to use that influence to make sure that the Bennets were the only family that mattered to her, it would have felt like a cheap and petty thing to him. No, he would let her make up her own mind about them and make sure that she knew that he was behind her all the way.
