"Yeah. And knowing them, they're not gonna give it back." His...call them 'employers'...had taken them for their own reasons, and the odds of them giving his memories back...well. Yeah, right. "Might be able to take them back, here...might be worth a try." In his professional capacity, he had very little interest in that sort of thing, but without his job/game to occupy him, he could certainly look into it, at least. He had to do something besides mess with people's heads, or he'd go crazy. Well, crazier.
