The smile turned into a laugh--not a mocking laugh, though clearly amused. "No, you don't," he said. "You killed them, didn't you?" He shook his head, leaning back in his chair and cracking his neck. "You got rid of them. Makes me think you might be good at getting rid of all kinds of things." That the kid was angry at the things--angry, rather than scared--impressed him. He didn't meet many people like that.
