Charles was suitably chastened - and hung over - after his fiasco in flying class. Trying to taper off after his recent Bunny-related fall from the wagon had not gone as well as he'd hoped.

So he was trying the cold turkey method. It was a slightly sweaty, short of breath Charles who was to be found in the back of the library every afternoon and evening, plowing through beginner-level texts and practicing basic spellwork with his new wand.

So far his results were mixed; several spells almost right. He had a feeling if he could get himself detoxed enough to focus properly, he'd get them in the end.

As it was, almost was taking every bit of his concentration, and he hardly noticed the ebb and flow of traffic in the library.
