'Outside!', she hears May yell. 'We've got to take this out of here!'

Smart girl, Mel thinks grimly, backing out of the hall and seeing Brice (registering his brother's in trouble, no doubt) follow.

Hoping that Venom is still monster enough to follow the smell of meat --Ugh-- when Mel finally stops, she makes sure that it's fairly deserted.

And seeing Brice stop, and knowing Venom and May won't be far behind, she summons up even more angelic energy to aid May.

No time for thinking about how that used to be Eddie just yet.
