Owl to Miss Emma Woodhouse
Dear Miss Woodhouse,
I wanted to thank you for your kind assistance during the incident in Potions class. Your fine memory for Donne was crucial in helping me ward off the effects of the potion, and I am very much in your debt. I apologise if I may have said anything to shock or offend -- my memories of what I did and said are somewhat hazy, although sadly the memories of the War are clearer than they have been in years. I hope that you are well yourself.
Sincerely,
Lord Peter Wimsey

I am afraid my memory of that period is rather faulty at the moment, but I am overjoyed to hear of your recovery. Unfortunately, I believe that my vocabulary is too limited to adequately comfort you of your wartime experiences. Just know that I greatly honor the sacrifice you made for our country, and the courage you have shown defending our King.
It was a joy to recite poetry again. Perhaps we should gather for a Donne club? I have felt the lack recently.
Sincerely,
Miss Emma Woodhouse

I should be delighted to start a Donne club -- or indeed a club for the discussion of poetry in general. Remarkable though the charms of this place are, I find that it is somewhat lacking in the literary arts.
Sincerely,
Lord Peter Wimsey
