We're trying to find a way to compile a hogwarts_hocus history, so that important plotpoints and other info doesn't have to be spelled out every single time. It seems like a wiki would be a good idea. I have no clue how to set one up, but I'll gladly help with any research.

So how many characters aren't quite human?

Edit: Stephen-mun was kind of enough to make a poll here

I set up definitions for human/near-human/near-immortal/immortal there. If your character doesn't quite fit any category, just go with your best guess. When it comes to characters who are borderline human/near-human think of it this way: does your character have a talent that goes beyond that of a normal wizard? If another wizard could do it, they're probably human, because remember, the average wizard can see ghosts, and if they are willing to delve into the Dark Arts they can practice some forms of necromancy :)

Cooper is, as ever, on a mission.

He makes his way through the corridors, pushing a wheelbarrow full of empty pie tins and full bottles of Captain Morgan's.

Hey, it works for slugs in the garden, right? Maybe it'll work for werewolves.

He leaves tins full of pirate rum along the way as he goes.

Riding on his shoulder is his new friend, a little bat he calls Joe. So nice to meet a totally harmless and innocent creature in the dark halls of Hogwarts! Though Joe keeps looking at Cooper's neck. Maybe he has some kind of rash or something and Joe is just too polite to tell him about it.

She is impossibly beautiful: tall, perfectly formed, with cascades of gorgeous red-gold hair. The shadows and mystery in her blue eyes are the only hints that reveal her to be nearly as old as humanity itself; her body is that of a young woman at the apex of youth and beauty.

She is also completely nude except for a glittering belt of gold and jewels, the workmanship of which can only be described, quite literally, as divine.
